President: Maggie Yakel

My name is Maggie Yakel and I am excited for the opportunity to serve as your PTO President for my second year.  My husband, Seth, and I have three boys - Teddy (3rd grade), Henry (Kindergarten), and Jack (2 years old).  This will be my fourth year as a member of the Anchor Pointe PTO.  Throughout my time as a PTO member, I have volunteered as a room parent, helped to plan multiple classroom parties, assisted with the annual Fun Run, facilitated Teacher Appreciation Week, and most recently I served as PTO president during the 2022-2023 school year

I work as a nurse practitioner at Nebraska Medicine, along with working as a post-partum doula and infant care specialist.

One of my continued goals throughout the next year would be to increase family participation in our monthly PTO meetings and school events. As a board member, I’m looking forward to building on the current programs and events that exist while adding new ideas that will positively impact our children’s education and school experience.

Vice President: Mikala Nightengale

Hello!  I am Mikala Nightengale and I am excited to be part of our PTO Board again this year!  I have been an active member of PTO since the school opened in 2019.  I have helped plan multiple family events and co-coordinated teacher appreciation week.  We love Anchor Pointe and all the staff and I love growing our relationship and connections with the school through being on the board!

My husband, Justin, and I have two daughters that attend Anchor Pointe!  Ava is in fourth grade and Layla is in first grade.  They both are very active with play all the sports, but their favorite is softball!

I am also a middle school math teacher at Elkhorn North Ridge Middle School!  I love teaching and coaching volleyball and track!

I am so excited for the school year and to continue meeting more families in the Anchor Pointe community.  I look forward to working together to help support our staff and our kiddos the best we can, and have fun while doing it!

Treasurer: Stacy Zaayer

My name is Stacy Zaayer and I live in Stone Creek with my husband, Ben, and 3 children, Ethan (7th grade at BMS South), Nolan (3rd grade), and Megan (3 years old). My husband works in IT and I am a stay-at-home mom. We have enjoyed being a part of this community for the last 7 years!

I have been an active PTO member since my oldest started Kindergarten at Pine Creek. When Anchor Pointe opened, I was excited to become a Board Member and help get the PTO off to a strong start. As a PTO member I have volunteered to be a room parent, help plan and coordinate the annual Fun Run fundraiser, manage the AR cart, and plan Staff Appreciation Week festivities. It brings a smile to my face when the PTO is able to support our staff members and enhance the educational opportunities for our students!

I also volunteer with the local Scout groups in Bennington; Cub Scouts Pack 13 and Boy Scouts Troop 13. My husband and both boys are actively involved in these organizations.

I’m looking forward to fresh ideas and meeting new families at Anchor Pointe. Cheers to the 2023-2024 school year!

Secretary: Lindsay Hollman

My name is Lindsay Hollman and I am a mom of three beautiful children.  Ian is 9 (3rd grade), Cohan is 7 (1st grade) and Elle is 5 (Pre-K).  My husband, Adam, is an Engineer at Cargill in Blair and we have been married for over 10 years.

I am a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Bennington Middle School, and I am so proud to be a Badger!  We have lived in Anchor Pointe for five years, and we have loved everything about this neighborhood and Anchor Pointe Elementary.

Hospitality: Sarah Pretz

My name is Sarah Pretz. My husband and I have 3 children; Jackson (3rd Grade), Henry (1st Grade), and Cecilia.  I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in deaf education. I am currently using that education as a dance studio owner. I am also a cub scout leader. When I find any spare time, I love to read and can usually be found with my nose in a book

Outreach: Bailey Jorgensen

My name is Bailey Jorgensen. My husband, Mike and I have 2 daughters, Harlow (3rd grade) and Sloane (1st grade). We are very lucky to have found Bennington and more specifically Anchor Pointe as our home! I am the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Nebraska Methodist College and Mike is in IT. My family loves camping and you can find us at the neighborhood pool most days! I am honored to be part of the 23-24 Anchor Pointe Board and I am excited to continue to support our school and our students!

Would you like to really get involved with the PTO?

Why not serve on the Board?

Board members serve a one or two year term, and are crucial to the operations of the PTO. It's a great way to meet people, be a part of positive change at our school, and have fun!
